Hans using flamethrower
Flamethrowers were used in the War between the Royal Empire and the Republic of Frost. All 908th H.T.T. soldiers were equipped with a flamethrower as their main weapon.
Description[]
A flamethrower is a mechanical incendiary device designed to project a long controllable stream of fire. They can be vehicle mounted or man-portable. The man-portable flamethrower consists of two elements: a backpack and the gun. The backpack usually carries a combustible liquid or gel held under pressure, which was released and ignited when the operator fires the gun.
Though mainly used at close range to set opponents ablaze, a user could also spread fuel across the water's surface and ignite it to create a wall of flames.
History[]
- It was originally intended to use flamethrowers to burn down bushes, brush and barricades in way of advancing ground troops. But people realized it can be used to inhumanely kill civilians. Afterwards, it was banned by international convention because of the brutality. Despite the legal banning, the Empire created the 908th HTT, which specialized in using the flamethrower. Hans was one such user.
